Baseball Game Preview: Hampton Talbots vs. Central Valley Warriors

The Hampton Talbots will challenge the Central Valley Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hampton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Moon Area on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Talbots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Central Valley and Montour, and Montour kept the tradition alive. The Warriors fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Hampton skirted past Central Valley 6-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Talbots repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
