Softball Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

Hurricane managed to slip by Bountiful the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hurricane Tigers lost 19-7 to the Bountiful RedHawks on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Fuller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Seely, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Even though they lost, Hurricane was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .412 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Hurricane now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bountiful, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Hurricane wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Davis on the 8th. As for Bountiful, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 win against Manti on the 8th.
