Softball Recap: North Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

While North's victory against Kenston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rangers never let the Bombers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Monday. The Rangers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bombers, too.

Not much got past Bailey Licht, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Kenston off the board.

On the hitting side, North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Ferrari, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

North's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11. As for Kenston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North will square off against Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Kenston, they will challenge Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Rough Riders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
