Volleyball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

If Leon was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Maclay on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the Chiles Timberwolves on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.

Madison Joyner was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Leon's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Chiles, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Coming up, Leon will square off against Mater Lakes Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chiles, they will challenge Mosley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
