Recap: Boone Toreadors vs. Ballard Bombers
The Boone Toreadors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 62-15 loss at the hands of Ballard. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boone in their matchups with Ballard: they've now lost eight in a row.
Boone's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.0 points per game. As for Ballard, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ballard will head out on the road to face off against North Polk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Polk presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ballard in Iowa (North Polk is ranked ninth, while Ballard is ranked 63rd).
