Baseball Recap: Manvel Takes a Loss

Manvel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to the Pearland Oilers. If the Mavericks were looking for revenge after losing 12-3 to the Oilers when the teams met back in April of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Manvel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Tuiasosopo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Manvel's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Pearland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pearland beat Manvel by a score of 10-0 on Tuesday.
