Softball Recap: Creekside Knights vs. Atlantic Coast Stingrays
Creekside had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Atlantic Coast Stingrays a 2-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Creekside.
Not much got past Kaylee Martineau, who gave up just one hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Atlantic Coast off the board. Martineau has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
Creekside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which lines up perfectly with their 20-5 record this season.
