Soccer Recap: Willard Takes a Loss

Willard lost against Madison Comprehensive back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Crimson Flashes came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Willard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 567th, while Madison Comprehensive are ranked 55th).

Willard's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Madison Comprehensive, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2-1.

Looking ahead, Willard will host Columbian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Willard will be up against Columbian's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Madison Comprehensive, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Upper Sandusky on the 4th.
