Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jax Mcintosh and Brooks Randolph Lead Briar Woods to Victory + How To Watch

Briar Woods's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Herndon Hornets by a score of 20-10. The matchup marked the Falcons' most dominant victory of the season so far.

A big part of Briar Woods' win came down to the chemistry between Brooks Randolph and his top target Jax McIntosh. Randolph threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns while McIntosh picked up 161 receiving yards and one score. Briar Woods also got a significant boost from James Price, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.

One reason for the win was Briar Woods' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Evan Knight with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Briar Woods' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Herndon, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Briar Woods and Herndon will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Falcons see the field they'll take on John Champe at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Herndon, their break will end when they face South Lakes at 1:00 p.m. on October 4.
