After a string of five wins, Irvington Preparatory Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Central Christian Academy Chargers. Irvington Preparatory Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Central Christian Academy earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Ava Holmes and Emma Cline certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Holmes had eight aces, while Cline had five kills and four aces. Cline is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Irvington Preparatory Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Central Christian Academy, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.
