After a string of three wins, Clare's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladwin Flying G. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Flying G's are ranked 148th).

Clare's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Gladwin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Clare has already played their next matchup (against Shepherd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gladwin will face off against Bullock Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
