Basketball Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short

If Wheatland was riding high fresh off their 63-37 takedown of Burns on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wheatland Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 44-43 to the Newcastle Dogies. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dogies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Newcastle, their record is now 2-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Newcastle beat Wheatland by a score of 44-43 on Saturday.
