Baseball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Longmeadow's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Longmeadow ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against the Shrewsbury Colonials by a score of 4-1.

Longmeadow is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Shrewsbury, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2.

Longmeadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shrewsbury, they will square off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
