Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo County Hornets vs. Pueblo South Colts

Pueblo County hasn't had much luck against Pueblo South recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pueblo County Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Pueblo South Colts at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Pueblo County ended up a good deal behind Pueblo Central and lost 69-50.

Meanwhile, Pueblo South was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Pueblo Centennial 75-37. The contest marked the Colts' most dominant victory of the season.

Pueblo South's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Pueblo County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Pueblo County came up short against Pueblo South in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 58-46. Can Pueblo County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
