Baseball Recap: Bellbrook Comes Up Short

Bellbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Monroe Hornets, falling 12-2. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bellbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Monroe, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Monroe will head out on the road to face off against Brookville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bellbrook will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' matchup: after the Hornets face off against the Blue Devils, they'll take on Bellbrook again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
