Basketball Recap: Yahir Monroy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Metro Tech over NFL yet Academy

On Thursday, the Metro Tech Knights ended up a good deal behind the NFL Yet Academy Eagles and lost 57-41.

Metro Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Yahir Monroy, who posted 12 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jacquon Banks, who earned four points and six rebounds.

Metro Tech dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for NFL Yet Academy, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Metro Tech will take on Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for NFL Yet Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Heritage Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
