There's no place like home for Carter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eisenhower Eagles 8-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Evan Uribe was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was James Partida, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Carter's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Eisenhower, they moved to 9-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carter beat the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Friday.
