Gibbs has gone 9-1 against Carter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Green Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Gibbs will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Gibbs proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 44) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over Heritage.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Carter's offense. They were beaten by Alcoa 42-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Green Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gibbs' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Carter, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Gibbs strolled past Carter in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 42-28. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Green Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
