Volleyball Recap: Salem Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Salem Academy can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Westside Christian Eagles on Friday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

While Salem Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Westside Christian's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-18.

Salem Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Westside Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-2.

Looking ahead, Salem Academy will take on Burns at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westside Christian has already played their next contest (against Cascade Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
