Baseball Recap: Saugus Wins Going Away Against Hueneme

Saugus's tournament run continued when they took on Hueneme on Wednesday. The Saugus Centurions put the hurt on the Hueneme Vikings with a sharp 10-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Centurions.

Chase Kline tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Saugus got a massive performance out of Zackery Seeley, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Matthew Carta, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and two RBI.

Saugus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hueneme only posted a batting average of .130.

Saugus' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hueneme, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.

Saugus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-7 win against Agoura on the 21st. As for Hueneme, they have also already played their next match, a 13-4 loss against Valencia on the 21st.
