Volleyball Recap: Maloney Beats South Windsor for Their Eighth Straight Win

Maloney put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the South Windsor Bobcats 3-0. The Spartans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bobcats, so the Spartans were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-20.

Wesley Colebrook paced Maloney's offense, picking up 18 kills. Colebrook got some help from Galo Cadena and his 34 assists. Cadena was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Maloney's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for South Windsor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maloney will challenge Southington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for South Windsor, they will face off against New Britain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
