Soccer Game Preview: Holmes vs. O'Connor

Holmes hasn't had much luck against O'Connor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Holmes Huskies will host the O'Connor Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Holmes' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Holmes and Brennan finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Connor). Their defense stepped up to hand Marshall an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Panthers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

O'Connor's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three games. With that draw, Holmes' record moves to 1-7-4.

Holmes came up short against O'Connor when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Holmes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
