Volleyball Recap: South Paulding Gets the Win

South Paulding lost to Cedartown back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Spartans came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

South Paulding easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21.

Emma Richardson paced South Paulding's offense, picking up four kills. Richardson got some help from Rhamaya Ramos and her five assists. Ramos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Cedartown still got an impressive performance from Layla Jackson, who had six digs and five assists. Jackson also served an ace, marking her first of the season.

South Paulding's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Cedartown, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, South Paulding and Cedartown will both be playing Temple the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
