Baseball Recap: Michigan City Extends Winning Streak to Three

Michigan City entered their tilt with La Lumiere on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Lakers.

Zaire McKinney was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Michigan City's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 0-11 when he doesn't). Jacob Hazel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Michigan City's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for La Lumiere, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
