Softball Recap: Shikellamy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Midd-West last Saturday, Shikellamy came back down to earth. The Braves lost 12-5 to the Danville Ironmen on Tuesday. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ironmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Shikellamy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gweneth Wiest, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Sydney Sinko, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Danville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Shikellamy has already played their next contest (against Selinsgrove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Danville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-9 defeat against Williamsport on the 3rd.
