Volleyball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Bryan Golden Bears. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Delta ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17.

Gracyn Pelton paced Delta's offense, picking up seven kills. Pelton got some help from Ellie Martinez and her ten assists.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bryan, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Delta has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Wauseon on the 23rd. As for Bryan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Defiance on the 22nd.
