After losing to Vance Charter the last time they met, Oxford Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oxford Prep skirted past Vance Charter 2-1.

Oxford Prep's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Preddy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that Preddy snagged this season.

Oxford Prep's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. As for Vance Charter, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oxford Prep beat Vance Charter by a score of 21-2 on Friday.
