Preview: HEART HomeSchool vs. St. John Lutheran Saints
HEART HomeSchool will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. John Lutheran Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in HEART HomeSchool's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while St. John Lutheran has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
HEART HomeSchool scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Cornerstone Academy 97-32 at home. HEART HomeSchool has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, St. John Lutheran earned a 41-33 win over Hart 2 Hart Academy on Monday. The win was just what St. John Lutheran needed coming off of a 64-41 loss in their prior match.
St. John Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cage Patrick, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Disimile, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
HEART HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for St. John Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
HEART HomeSchool didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against St. John Lutheran in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was St. John Lutheran's Nick Sacco, who scored 30 points along with three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for HEART HomeSchool to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
