Clear Spring had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Catoctin Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blazers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-8.

Kaisy Custer paced Clear Spring's offense, picking up 11 kills. Custer got some help from Malea Shingleton and her 31 assists. Shingleton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Clear Spring's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Catoctin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Clear Spring has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Williamsport on the 1st. As for Catoctin, after both having extra time off, they and Walkersville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th.
