Recap: Taylor Wildcats vs. Ocala Christian Crusaders
The Taylor Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 75-36 victory over Ocala Christian at home. That 75-36 margin sets a new team best for Taylor this season.
Taylor found their leader in underclassman James Thomas, who scored 16 points. The contest was Thomas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Preston Kelly, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Ocala Christian saw an underclassman step up: Rodney Paz scored 15 points. Amari Gordon was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Taylor and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Ocala Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Ocala Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Riverside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Riverside Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
