Basketball Recap: Berthoud Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Berthoud needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Avery Pfohl. The Berthoud Spartans blew past the Wellington Eagles, posting a 76-26 victory thanks in part to Pfohl, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Padilla, who posted seven points and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Berthoud pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Wellington, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berthoud will square off against Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Berthoud has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Wellington, they will challenge Timnath at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
