Basketball Recap: New Summerfield Hornets vs. Mt. Enterprise Wildcats
New Summerfield lost to Mt. Enterprise back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-51 defeat to the Wildcats. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kaegan Ash was a one-man wrecking crewfor Mt. Enterprise as he dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ash has scored at least a third of the Wildcats' points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Bennett, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
New Summerfield now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Mt. Enterprise, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Summerfield will challenge rival Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Enterprise is set to take on their familiar foe Cushing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
