Recap: West Carteret Patriots vs. Harnett Central Trojans
On Friday, West Carteret came up short against Harnett Central and fell 42-30.
West Carteret's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jasiah Jones, who picked up 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Hewitt, who threw for 343 yards and three touchdowns.
Ethyn Muhammad went supernova for Harnett Central, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Michael Smith also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.
West Carteret's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Harnett Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
West Carteret does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harnett Central will be playing at home against Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Terry Sanford is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
