Asheboro has gone 8-2 against Ledford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Asheboro Blue Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ledford Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Asheboro is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Asheboro came up short against Central Davidson and fell 58-46.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ledford). They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging an 84-47 win over Wheatmore. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Ledford's win came from a few key players Asheboro will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Adam Grier, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Peele, who went 8 of 10 en route to 19 points.

Ledford was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Asheboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Ledford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.
