Basketball Game Preview: Bullard Knights vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Bullard Knights will jump right back in to play the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bullard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.

Bullard will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fresno on Friday. Bullard claimed a resounding 80-51 win over Fresno. The Knights pushed the score to 63-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They snuck past the Drillers with a 63-58 victory.

Bakersfield Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. As for Bullard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Bullard came up short against Bakersfield Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, falling 66-57. Can Bullard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
