Softball Recap: Pewitt Takes a Loss

Pewitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Rivercrest Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Brahmas have lost by exactly ten runs.

Pewitt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckensi Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Pewitt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Rivercrest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pewitt is set to challenge their familiar foe Maud at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rivercrest will face off against rival Linden-Kildare at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
