Cooper is a perfect 5-0 against Plainview since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Cooper took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They really took it to Lubbock-Cooper for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-16 win. Considering the Cougars have won three games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaden Carrillo was his usual excellent self, throwing for 263 yards and six TDs, while also rushing for 80 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Carrillo was just one part of a punishing run game: Cooper was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Plainview ended up a good deal behind Legacy on Friday and lost 56-42.

Cooper now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Cooper was able to grind out a solid victory over Plainview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 35-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
