Baseball Game Preview: Timpview Thunderbirds vs. Hunter Wolverines

The Timpview Thunderbirds will head out on the road to square off against the Hunter Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Hunter took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Timpview, who comes in off a win.

Timpview's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Granger by a score of 4-0. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Thunderbirds yet this season.

Granger's batters probably weren't too happy with True Andersen, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up zero walks). Andersen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jordan Christensen, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Ty Wester also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Hunter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 21-1.

Timpview now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hunter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
