Baseball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Takes a Loss

Northwest Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Ragin' Bulls since March 18, 2015.

Northwest Cabarrus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Greene, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Hickory Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Northwest Cabarrus will challenge Central Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickory Ridge, they will face off against A.L. Brown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
