There's no place like home for Columbia Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the University School of Nashville Tigers a 16-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Columbia Academy got a great performance from Jackson Lee as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Lee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Wyatt Ayers was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jax Jones was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Columbia Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive contests.

Columbia Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for University School of Nashville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Columbia Academy will be playing at home against Zion Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for University School of Nashville, they will challenge Donelson Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
