Recap: Eastside Lions vs. Palmdale Falcons

There's no place like home for the Eastside Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 victory over Palmdale on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Eastside has posted since January 6th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keyron Scott, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Carter, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why Palmdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jamari Owens. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points. That was a full 50.8% of Palmdale's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Devin Chambers, who scored 11 points.

Eastside pushed their record up to 9-17 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Palmdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will take on Littlerock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Littlerock has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games. As for Palmdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Lancaster and four for Palmdale.
