Basketball Recap: Farragut Comes Up Short

Farragut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Chicago Marshall Commandos on the road by a 17-2 margin. The Admirals lost against the Commandos in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-17 score last time.

Glorneilys Liendo Gonzalez was Farragut's leading scorer, having posted two points.

Leading Chicago Marshall to victory were Alysha Murphy and Charmarre Scott. Murphy posted four points, while Scott put up four points. Andrea Davis also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chicago Marshall, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Farragut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-10 defeat against Back of the Yards College Prep on the 22nd. Chicago Marshall has also already played their next contest, a 66-58 loss against Brown Deer on the 18th.
