Basketball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

If Bartlett was feeling good fresh off their 67-28 takedown of Elgin on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bartlett Hawks lost to the Hersey Huskies on the road by a 59-44 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Huskies are ranked 22nd).

Bartlett's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Hersey, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Bartlett and Aurora East will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hersey will take on Buffalo Grove in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
