Baseball Game Preview: Florence Buffaloes vs. Blanco Panthers

For the second straight game, Florence will face off against Blanco. The Buffaloes will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Florence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Florence turned things around against Blanco on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Panthers 6-5.

Ethan Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dane Gola, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Cody Carlson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Blanco's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Florence, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-10-1.
