Basketball Recap: Bronaugh Takes a Loss

Bronaugh won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 61-40 to the Montrose Blue Jays. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since January 14th.

Despite the loss, Bronaugh still got an impressive performance from Strauss Banes, who posted 22 points along with five assists and three steals. Banes has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Bowling, who earned 12 points.

Bronaugh has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Montrose, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronaugh has already played their next game (against Chilhowee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Montrose has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Sheldon.
