Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

The Lincoln Tigers came up short against the Marquez Gladiators on Wednesday and fell 6-2.

Alan Najera was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Eric Velasquez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marquez, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marquez beat Lincoln by a score of 13-3 on Monday.
