Basketball Recap: Horizon Honors' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Horizon Honors lost against Round Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Horizon Honors Eagles fell 38-28 to the Round Valley Elks. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Round Valley found their leader in sophomore Addison Poston, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Poston's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kelci Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Horizon Honors' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Round Valley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Honors will face off against Phoenix Country Day at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Round Valley, they will square off against Pinon at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
