Basketball Game Preview: Harding Raiders vs. Boardman Spartans

The Harding Raiders will take on the Boardman Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Harding fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Washington on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Tigers 72-67. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Boardman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They secured a 74-70 W over the Falcons.

Harding's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-3. As for Boardman, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Everything came up roses for Harding against Boardman in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 79-45 victory. Does Harding have another victory up their sleeve, or will Boardman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
