Volleyball Game Preview: Crested Butte Titans vs. Custer County Bobcats

The Crested Butte Titans will face off against the Custer County Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Crested Butte has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Crested Butte didn't have quite enough to beat Telluride and fell 3-2. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Miners recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Crested Butte wouldn't go down easily and took Telluride into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-8, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Custer County came up short against Buena Vista on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-22, 30-28, 30-28.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Crested Butte, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
