4A Plains recap November 13, 2013
Denver South was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Durango. The Rebels came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 40 last week.
Denver South added to the longest winning streak in 4A Plains this week by beating the Demons, 36-26. The win marks sixth in a row for the Tony Lindsay's team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Dakota Ridge's Braxton Thais and Dillon DeLauro have proven to be a lethal combination. Thais has thrown for 2,434 yards this season, while DeLauro has 45 catches for 571 yards. The Rebels' Zachary Lindsay leads the league in rushing yards with 1,570.
Denver South's Trevonte Tasco is a mere 60 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 122 carries Tasco has put up 940 yards this year.
The Eagles scaled the state rankings by moving to 31 from 57 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Dakota Ridge was able to move up by defeating Falcon 42-41.
